How it works

For riders
- Search your route. Choose your cities, date, time and seats.
- Book instantly or request. Instant booking is available within the driver’s remaining shared detour budget. Otherwise, send a request for the driver to review.
- Meet at the public meeting point. Confirm your pickup in chat, check the car and ride PIN, and share your trip with someone you trust.
- Pay the driver directly. Pay in person or by Venmo, Cash App or Zelle. Pay only after your booking is accepted, never before the ride day. No money flows through Slyde.
For drivers
- Post your route. Share a drive you’re already making and choose a route.
- Set your seats and auto-accept detour. Choose on-route only, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. This is one shared budget for the whole drive.
- Riders along your route join. Riders within the remaining budget can book instantly; others can request to book.
- Share costs, not make a profit. Set a price within the cost-sharing maximum and collect each rider’s agreed share directly.
